With the high school football season less than a month away, MaxPreps released its preseason Top 25 teams heading into the fall, and there was no shortage of Miami Hurricanes commits and their schools featured on the list.

Since arriving in Coral Gables, Miami head coach Mario Cristobal has made it a priority to recruit the top prospects in the country, and what better way to do so than by recruiting at some of the best high school programs in the country?

Out of the schools listed, the Canes have commits on four of the top ten teams and six out of the 25 teams featured.

When looking at the list, the highest-ranked program that has a Hurricanes commit comes in at No. 2, with Bishop Gorman.

Earlier this month, Miami landed a commitment from the four-star center, SJ Alofaituli , who is regarded as one of the best interior offensive linemen in the country. According to the On3 Industry Ranking Alofaituli is the No. 75 overall prospect in the country and No. 5 IOL.

Following Bishop Gorman at the No. 3 spot is IMG Academy, where Hurricanes four-star linebacker commit Gavin Nix has made a name for himself over the past two seasons. Like Alofaituli, Nix, who is the No. 155 overall prospect in the 2025 class, also recently announced his pledge to Miami over the likes of Oregon and Florida State.

Coming in at No. 6 on the list is Milton High School out of Georgia, which is led by four-star quarterback Luke Nickel , who is fresh off a state title after throwing for 3,914 yards and 39 touchdowns. As the longest-tenured commit in Miami’s 2025 class, Nickel, who is the No. 233 overall prospect in the 2025 class, is locked in with the Canes despite pushes from a handful of programs.

The last Miami commit whose program made the top 10 is four-star cornerback Chris Ewald out of Chaminade-Madonna, who sits in the No. 9 spot. Ewald is another summer addition to the Hurricanes 2025 class after choosing the in-state programs over the Georgia Bulldogs on June 27. He is the No. 172-ranked prospect in his class.

Other Miami commits’ programs that could be found on the list are four-star safety Amari Wallace and three-star linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin out of Miami Central, who will start the year off ranked as the No. 15 ranked team in the nation, as well as Miami 2026 four-star commit Malachi Toney at American Heritage, which is the No. 20 ranked prep team in the country according to the MaxPreps preseason Top 25.

Coming off back-to-back top 10 recruiting classes with the hopes of a third straight this cycle, the Hurricanes will need to continue to recruit at a high level. With Cristobal looking to establish a winning culture in Coral Gables, what better way than to bring in players from across the country who are doing just that?
