Morgan Wallen, East Tennessee's own country music star, announced on Monday that he will be returning home for a special performance at Neyland Stadium on the University of Tennessee Knoxville campus. Tickets for this highly anticipated event will be available starting Wednesday.

“I’ve had the honor of playing in a lot of college, MLB, and NFL stadiums the past two years, but getting to play to my hometown at Neyland Stadium, nothing tops this for a boy from East Tennessee,” said Wallen in a news release shared by UTK. To share the exciting news with his fans, Wallen also reactivated his Instagram account on Monday morning.

Wallen hails from Sneedville, Tennessee, located in Hancock County. Known for his love of Tennessee orange, he was recently spotted at a Vol Baseball College World Series championship game alongside Peyton Manning and Rick Barnes.

The concert is set for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024. Tickets will be available for purchase on Wednesday, July 17, starting at 11 a.m. ET. This marks Wallen's first performance at Neyland Stadium in his home state as part of his “One Night At A Time” Tour.

Joining Wallen on stage will be fellow country music star HARDY, as well as Tennessee native ERNEST. Wallen's songs, some co-written by HARDY, frequently reference East Tennessee and the 865 area code. Wallen is a graduate of Gibbs High School in Knox County.

In addition to the concert, the news release highlighted Wallen's philanthropic efforts through The Morgan Wallen Foundation (MWF). A portion of every ticket sold for his live shows will support MWF. Recently, the foundation donated $100,000 to Jefferson City to renovate and improve two local baseball fields. The contributions included $80,000 for Roy Harmon Field through the City Parks Department and $20,000 for New Market Field via Jefferson City Little League. The renovations will feature new infields, bases, dugouts, press boxes, backstop padding, fencing, and more.
