Harter’s bond lowered in pandering obscenity of a minor case
GREENVILLE — Kyle W. Harter’s bond was reduced Monday afternoon in the Darke County Common Pleas Court. Judge Travis L. Fliehman presided. Harter, 32, of Greenville appeared in court on a two count indictment for allegedly pandering obscenity, a felony of the second degree, and illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material, also a felony of the second degree. Harter was arrested on July 8, 2024 under suspicion of the above allegations after officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street in reference to a sexual offense on July 7.
County removes cats from Our Farm Sanctuary, charges filed against Director

Three mill levy to be on Phillipsburg ballot
PHILLIPSBURG — Phillipsburg Council members voted on July 16 to put a 5-year, 3 mill operating levy on the November ballot. Mayor Shawna Newsom explained that while the village is able to meet its current expenses, any unusual emergency, such as a natural disaster, would leave the jurisdiction strapped, so “we need a cushion.”
Wristbands available July 27 for Versailles FareFest
VERSAILLES — The Versailles FareFest is schedule to take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 17 in downtown Versailles. Though who purchase wristbands to the event will receive a complimentary crystal wine glass while experiencing three hours of unlimited beer, wine and food. GREENVILLE — The tornado on May 7 disrupted a lot of lives and caused a lot of damage to a large swath of area in the City of Greenville. Although life has returned to normal for most, the destruction that was caused is still evident.
