A new Miss North Carolina has been crowned.Carrie Everett was crowned on Saturday, June 29.Everett is Miss Johnston County and is a rising Sophomore at NC Central University (NCCU). Electricity has been restored to most customers across multiple counties in central North Carolina.Duke Energy workers spent the morning on Lakeview Drive clearing trees that fell on some power lines causing dozens to lose power.According to the Duke Energy outage map, only a few dozen homes lost power in that area because of it.Sunday night storms led to downed trees that fell or power linesThe peak of the outages was around 5:30 p.m., according to a Duke Energy map.
