Fort Ticonderoga opens new Rev War exhibit
First of five rotating collections to commemorate 250th anniversary. TICONDEROGA | As the 250th anniversary of America’s War for Independence swiftly approaches in 2025, museums across the country are gearing up to provide their own interpretations of the eight-year-long insurrection that saw 13 humble colonies ultimately overthrow British rule and tyranny to establish a new sovereign nation. Though a mere two and half centuries from present-day, it is hard to imagine the level of passion, tenacity, courage, and belief in the Divine rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that inspired colonists to take on the then-greatest military power in the Northern Hemisphere. But thanks to Fort Ticonderoga, visitors will be able to get a glimpse of the human experience that shaped history.
A chocolate shop opens in Middlebury
