    Happy Wednesday🌽

Florida might be known for its citrus, but north central Florida farms are celebrating their bumper crops of sweet corn goodness this month.

Eustis's Amber Brooke Farms' farmers kick it with the kernels at their own fun fest this Saturday and Sunday, featuring amusement and food trucks such as the Farmer Snack Shack, Between Breads , Grumpy's Homemade Ice Cream , BBQ Brazil Express , Bettas Pizza , Caldonia Kitchen and Chikiz Empanaditas . The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation provides an inspection report as a "snapshot" of conditions present at the time of the inspection.

On any given day, an establishment may have fewer or more violations than noted in their most recent inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term conditions at the establishment.

⛵Where I ate this week: Salt Shack on the Lake

Finally got to order a meal at Salt Shack on the Lake after a school board event in the Clermont area.

My impression? Some of the items are impressive; some overpriced . I thoroughly enjoyed the Gaspar's Tuna Tartare ($14.95), which includes avocado, seaweed salad, sesame and a delightful, artfully plated ginger soy drizzles and wasabi aioli. Topped with sesame seeds and green onion. The appearance of my itsy bitsy fresh fish basket of lightly breaded filet nuggets felt anticlimactic in light of its $20 price tag.

I suggest asking friends what they recommend at the downtown Clermont waterfront eatery. If you like tuna, avocado and seaweed salad, do try the Gaspar's Tuna Tartare.

That all said, Salt Shack's scenic location on Lake Minneola, the breeze from its deck and the friendly service diminished the sting of the check total for three small-ish appetizers.
