CeeDee Lamb has not been spotted with the Dallas Cowboys during the voluntary offseason program and mandatory minicamp.

The wide receiver is holding out for a contract extension, and everyone is always looking for even the slightest hint about the status of the negotiations.

Especially if it can come directly from Lamb.

The Cowboys receiver is hosting his Youth Football Camps in Texas on July 9, 10, and 20, and often times at these events, the players speak with any media members who attend.

Because of that, one reported hinted that this could be the first opportunity for Lamb to speak about the contract situation.

However, Lamb saw this and had to respond. He made something VERY clear.

"I’m not speaking about any contract negotiations, if that’s your questions..

It’s about the kids," Lamb posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The latest report about the contract talks is not a good sign for fans hoping to see Lamb out at training camp. It was reported last week that Lamb is also expected to skip out on that if no deal gets done, per Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News .

"For the second consecutive year, there’s a possibility a key starter will hold out of training camp," Watkins reports. "Lamb missed the entire offseason program and is expected to miss training camp if he doesn’t get a new deal."

Lamb was drafted by the Cowboys with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and is entering the final year of his contract before he becomes a free agent in 2025. Considering his high skill level, it makes sense why Dallas would want to keep him.

But the two sides have yet to come to an agreement.

Lamb is set to make above $17M fully guaranteed in 2024 based on his fifth-year option.

A top target for the Cowboys since coming to the team in 2020, Lamb has showed growth in each and every season in the league. He had his best year in 2023, finishing with 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The Cowboys will officially report to training camp on July 25, and if Lamb were to skip, he could face fines north of $50,000 for every day of training camp that he misses.
