The Indiana Fever face the Dallas Wings in their final matchup before the Olympic and All-Star break. The "Caitlin Clark effect" remained strong on the road, with the Fever helping draw a sold-out crowd at the College Park Center on July 17.

The Fever didn't get off to hot start against the Wings, and entered halftime down 54-46. Just before the second quarter came to a close, the ESPN broadcast captured an entire section of young Clark fans sitting together at the arena.

Numerous young girls wearing Clark's No. 22 jersey held up signs that collectively sent a powerful message to the team and viewers watching.

"Girls know women's sports were never a long shot," the signs read. Clark, the No. 1 overall pick, and first rookie to ever score a triple-double in the WNBA, is arguably the most popular player in the league.

The Iowa alum put up 14 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds in the first half against the Wings, successfully breaking the franchise record for most assists in a single season.

With a strong contingency of fans cheering on the Fever in Texas, Clark and Co. will look to notch their 12th win of the season against the Wings.
