While many viewed WNBA No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark as the biggest Team USA snub, Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale was on a mission during Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game to prove she was just as worthy.

The six-year WNBA veteran went off in the third quarter, posting 21 points (6-for-10), including five three-pointers. Not bad for a player who entered the second half with zero points.

After shooting 0-for-2 and notching zero points over the first two quarters, Ogunbowale came alive. She took over the game, finishing the quarter shooting 6-for-10, including five three-pointers.

Now a four-time All-Star, Ogunbowale is accustomed to making an impact, at least against Team USA. She earned MVP honors the last time the All-Star Game was played in a WNBA vs. Team USA format (back in 2021) has a good chance of doing so again following her incredible third quarter on Saturday.

The 27-year-old is having a tremendous season for the Wings. Through 24 games, Ogunbowale is averaging 22.3 points per game, along with career-highs in assists (5.2), rebounds (4.8) and steals (2.7).
