Although Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese got plenty of attention before and during the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, it was Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale, who clearly shined the most during the contest.

Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes certainly recognized that, as he gave Ogunbowale a big shoutout on social media on Saturday.

“Yo! @Arike_O is hoopin hooping! 💪🏽🔥,” Mahomes posted on X (formerly Twitter), as Ogunbowale torched Team USA for 34 points in a 117-109 victory at Footprint Center.

Ogunbowale was on fire against Team USA, as she finished with a record-setting total of 34 points on the strength of an efficient 10/20 shooting from the floor. She drained eight 3-pointers on 13 attempts from deep, leaving Mahomes and everyone who watched the game definitely impressed by her performance.

With her explosive offensive night, Ogunbowale set a new record for most points by a player in a WNBA All-Star Game and also took home her second WNBA All-Star Game MVP award.

What a night overall for Ogunbowale, who entered the WNBA All-Star break with a season average of 22.3 points per contest.
