    Daly City PD looking for suspect in jewelry heist

    ( KRON ) – The Daly City Police Department is searching for a suspect in a grand theft that happened earlier this month.

    The theft occurred at Zales Jewelers in the Serramonte Center at 1:10 p.m. on July 10.

    A customer representative told responding officers that the suspect asked employees to look at necklaces. An employee removed two necklaces from the glass display case for the suspect to see. According to Daly City PD, the suspect tried on a gold necklace and then cuffed it in his hand. The suspect asked to see another chain and then fled the store.

    The necklace was worth $9,500, according to police.

    Police said the suspect is described as a slender Hispanic man with a light complexion in his late teens or early twenties. The suspect is estimated to be 6 foot one inch tall, said Daly City PD. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and white Nike Air Force 1 shoes. According to police, he fled in a white 2021 Audi Q5.

    Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Daly City Police Department.
