A security guard was among three people injured Friday night in a shooting at a Danville party.

Police responded at approximately 9:56 p.m. to a 911 call of shots fired at a home in the 1500 block of Halifax Way.

Officers discovered a 40-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. While on scene, a 19-year-old man and 20-year-old woman, both from Danville, arrived at a local emergency room with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds from the same party.

Police said the private party was staffed by multiple hired security officers.

The 40-year-old victim was a security guard and the other victims were attendees. Police said it appeared shots were fired from a vehicle near the residence, hitting all three victims.

Two victims were treated and released. The third victim was transported to another medical facility and was expected to be released this morning.

Anyone with information about the shootings can contact the Danville Police Department at (434) 799-6510 or (434) 799-6508 option 3, and option 1 again, or by contacting Crime Stoppers at (434) 793-0000 or via email at crimetips@danvilleva.gov.
