PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Ava Lafollette is making quite the first impression at Notre Dame.

Lafollette scored a hat trick to lead the Irish to a 9-0 win over Danville in the Big 12 Conference girls soccer opener for both schools on Thursday. Lafollette, who transferred to PND from Metamora, scored all three of her goals in the first 19 minutes of the game.

The game was moved to the turf at IVC High school after Notre Dame deemed its field was unplayable after three days of rain. The Irish improved to 5-0 on the season.

Elsewhere, Dunlap got first-half goals from Devyn Davis and Abbie Gleason to beat visiting Rock Island Alleman.

Washington’s boys and Bloomington-Normal’s girls lacrosse teams won games on Thursday. East Peoria and Bloomington were among the baseball winners Thursday.
