Sunday, July 14, 2024 – Mayor Michelle Wu today announced a heat emergency for the City of Boston beginning tomorrow, July 15 through Wednesday, July 17, due to the upcoming extreme weather forecasts. Temperatures will reach into the high 90s, with the heat index expected to reach close to and over 100 degrees. The current City of Boston heat emergency threshold is 2 days or more of 95 degrees heat index.

Worcester Police Arrest Two Men for Multiple Firearm Offenses on Main and Southbridge Streets
In a late-night patrol turned firearm bust, Worcester Police apprehended two men on Main Street for a litany of firearms offenses. One dead after fiery car crash in Hampton Falls, NH
One person is dead after a fiery crash in New Hampshire early Sunday morning. State police troopers responded to Exeter Road around 3:40 a.m. for a vehicle on fire, state police said. Police say the engulfed Subaru Impreza sedan had crashed before officers responded. Crews were able to extinguish the fire and determined that the one person inside the vehicle had died. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
