Woman arrested after shoplifting from Walmart
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Evansville Police Department officials say a woman was arrested Sunday after being caught shoplifting from Walmart. According to an affidavit, police were dispatched to the Walmart on North Burkhardt Road at 1:30 p.m. in response to a female, later identified as Deborah Looney, who was shoplifting.

Two Evansville Residents Arrested on Drug Charges in Madisonville
In an early morning operation Friday on I-69 near Madisonville, two Evansville residents were apprehended for allegedly trafficking over five pounds of marijuana. Authorities conducted a traffic stop after noticing a vehicle speeding and erratically swerving. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Luis Hull, along with passenger 37-year-old Jamie Stuteville, reportedly displayed signs of nervousness, prompting a police K9 unit to investigate. The search led to the discovery of significant quantities of marijuana wax, seeds, edibles, vapes, a grow light, an undisclosed amount of cash, pills, and suspected narcotics yet to be tested.
