    Two 17-year-olds arrested, charged in fatal Southeast shooting

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — On Friday, D.C. police arrested and charged two 17-year-olds for shooting and killing a man in December of 2023.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that officers responded to the 2900 block of Knox Place, SE around 8:55 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2023, for a reported shooting.

    Responding officers found 39-year-old Dwayne Barbour of Southeast D.C., who had been shot. First responders took him to the hospital for treatment, but he died on the evening of Dec. 31, 2023.

    MPD said that Rayon Davis Jr. and Quintin Reed, both 17-year-olds from Southeast D.C., were arrested and charged as adults with first-degree murder while armed – felony murder.
