    DC police investigating 2 separate shootings

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers are investigating two separate shootings that took place in D.C. late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

    MPD said officers responded to the 3000 block of 30th St., Southeast, just before midnight. Once on scene, officers found a man who had been shot. He was conscious and breathing.

    Responders transported him to a local hospital for treatment.

    Two 17-year-olds arrested, charged in fatal Southeast shooting

    A short time later, at around 1:20 a.m., police said that officers responded to the 1300 block of Fairmont St., Northwest. Officers located a woman on the scene who was shot. She was conscious and breathing.

    Police did not give any further information on the status of either victim.
