1 shot in Reston, Fairfax County police investigating

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said officers were investigating on Tuesday afternoon after a person was shot in Reston.

In a post on X shortly after 1:30 p.m., FCPD said officers, K9 and a helicopter were on the scene of a person shot in the 11800 block of Sunrise Valley Road.

Medics took him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot toward the Reston Parkway.
