Loudoun County develops new interactive map for residents to find pet-friendly destinations, services

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Loudoun County has a new online mapping tool that makes it easier for pet parents to search for veterinary clinics, pet-friendly parks, restaurants and lodging services.

Pet-Friendly Loudoun , the new interactive map, helps pet owners locate parks and trails that allow pets on or off leash, pet-friendly eateries and veterinary clinics that can be sorted by species served and languages spoken.

The Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS) created the map in response to residents asking for information about veterinarians and pet-friendly places to frequent.

“We think this will be a very useful tool for our residents and their pets,” LCAS Director Nina Stively stated in a news release. “We know that more and more residents and visitors have pets a part of their daily lives, and this map is a great way to help everyone know all the places their furry friends are welcome to join them in their travels, and get the care they need.”

Residents are encouraged to submit suggestions and additions through this online form .
