Santa Rosa Woman Surrenders to Police in Attempted Murder Investigation, Bail Set at $1 Million
Following a rapid turn of events in the case of the attempted homicide investigation, Nacomee Paula Perez handed herself in to the authorities yesterday evening, as per the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office. The 44-year-old Santa Rosa resident, Perez, was on the radar of the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) for allegedly stabbing a female acquaintance multiple times during a heated argument. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday and left the victim, a 34-year-old Graton resident, with multiple wounds to her upper torso. After friends quickly took her to a local hospital, she is now reported to be stable.

Santa Rosa Man Arrested with Ghost Gun and Drugs During Traffic Stop by Police Special Enforcement Team
During a routine patrol on Friday night, Santa Rosa Police Special Enforcement Team officers made a significant discovery after stopping a cyclist for a traffic violation on Cleveland Avenue. Minivan slams into a Long Island nail salon, killing 4 and injuring 9, official says
A fire official says a minivan has slammed into a Long Island nail salon, killing four and injuring nine. The vehicle came to a stop inside the Hawaii Nail & Spa store in Deer Park about 4:40 p.m. Friday. Lt. Kevin Heissenbuttel says all of those killed and injured were inside the salon at the time. He said it was not immediately clear whether the crash was accidental or intentional. The driver was semiconscious and transported to a hospital. Investigators were on the scene into the evening. Photos from the scene showed a gaping hole in the storefront located in a strip mall.

A 25-year-old man will was sentenced to life in prison for decapitating his grandmother in her home in Santa Rosa. Luis Aroyo-Lopez sat silently Thursday in a Sonoma County courtroom as his family shared statements with a judge how much they suffered as a result of his brutal actions. He pleaded guilty to murder on June 4th after reaching an agreement with prosecutors. Exactly why Luis Aroyo-Lopez killed his grandmother, Elvia Aroyo-Lopez, has never been discussed in open court.
