Sportsman’s Report: Seeking cool water on hot summer days
Swimming and splashing about is summer fun for families, and old kids that love the water are legion. Given the start of a hot summer, let’s review some swimming holes while leaving out marathon hikes and trespassing as both may be hazardous to one’s health. Public pools are in many cities. Rohnert Park/Cotati have summer swimming pools that are safe and clean. The ancient Petaluma Swim Center at the entrance to the Sonoma-Marin fairgrounds has a giant pool for water dogs of all ages and a puddle pool for little ones. Entry fees are reasonable.
