Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman will be released by Las Vegas Raiders , according to reports.

Peterman, who the Bills selected in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft , has been a backup quarterback almost his entire six-year career with Buffalo, Las Vegas and the Chicago Bears.

Las Vegas signed the 30-year-old journeyman for his second stint with the club earlier this month after he was released by New Orleans.

Nathan Peterman had an unfortunate tendency with the Buffalo Bills

Peterman has started just 5 games in career, with four of the those coming during his two-year tenure with the Bills. But his stats reveal that he struggled mightily in Buffalo

He was 1-3 with Buffalo, throwing for 548 yards and 3 touchdowns with 12 interceptions and two fumbles in eight games.

Nathan Peterman once tossed 5 INTs in a Bills game

Peterman's first start with the Bills went disastrously, tying the NFL mark for most interceptions thrown by a quarterback in his starting debut.

With QB Tyrod Taylor struggling in 2017, the Bills turned to Peterman against the Los Angeles Chargers to shake things up. What ensued was a nightmare scenario for Peterman and the Buffalo Bills mafia.

Peterman threw five interceptions in the first half — including four in his first nine passes — in a 54-24 drubbing by the Chargers. It was so awful, the Bills benched Peterman and handed the ball back to Taylor in the second half.

Nathan Peterman also had a hand in a notorious season opener

Somehow, head coach Sean McDermott determined that Peterman should start the 2018 season opener because Allen was just a rookie. Peterman had apparently won the quarterback competition that also included AJ McCarron.

Peterman started that game in Baltimore, He completed 5 of 18 passes for 24 yards and two interceptions, and that was enough for McDermott. H e sent Allen into the game to finish out a 47-3 loss. It was the Bills' worst season-opening loss in team history.
