Texas Woman’s University started construction on a major drainage and stormwater collection project on Friday.

The project, a retention pond on Mingo Road near downtown Denton, is designed to resolve drainage and stormwater issues. In a Facebook post, the university said the project will set the foundation for future nature trails that will be open to students, faculty, staff and the community.
