Denton PD: Intoxicated 16-year-old had illegal pistol in backpack

Denton police detained an intoxicated 16-year-old boy who had a fully automatic pistol in his backpack Tuesday, according to a police report.

At about 10:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at North Elm and West Parkway streets. The report states that radar detected the vehicle traveling 45 mph in a 25 mph zone.
