    Group of child predators arrested in DeRidder

    DERIDDER, La. (WNTZ) – DeRidder Police Department received an indecent behavior complaint. DeRidder Police Department Criminal Investigation Division began investigating the complaint and learned the following. A group of adult males were having inappropriate conversations which led to sexual relations with juvenile females in the area.

    During the Investigation, detectives learned Jaddarius J Miller, 26, DeRidder, was having sexually inappropriate conversations with juveniles which led to him having sexual relations with the juveniles. During questioning by detectives, he confirmed the allegations.

    He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail and charged with First Degree Rape when the victim was less than thirteen years of age. His bond is set at Hold without Bond.

    Detectives also learned Keomah Ishmael Jackson, 24, DeRidder, was having sexually inappropriate conversations with a juvenile which led to him having a sexual relationship with the juvenile. During questioning by detectives, he confirmed the allegations.

    He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail and charged with Carnal Knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with juveniles. His bond is set at $200,000.00.

    Detectives also learned Emmanuel Travone January, 21, DeRidder, was having sexually inappropriate conversations with a juvenile which led to him having a sexual relationship with the juvenile. During questioning by detectives, he confirmed the allegations.

    He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail and charged with Carnal Knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with juveniles. His bond is set at $200,000.00.

    This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

    An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

    DeRidder Police Department would also like to remind parents to monitor their children’s cellphone and social media activity. Parents should check every app on their child’s phone. Talk to your children about online safety. Parents should have every password the child has set on their cellphones or devices connected to the internet.

    Parents should take the additional step that includes taking possession of their child’s phone at night while it’s charging so no one can communicate with them while they are sleeping.

    Predators can target children through social media apps if parents aren’t aware of their kid’s online activity.
