This financial boost for groceries comes in addition to free nutritious meals offered to children and youth at over 60 locations throughout the city, a service managed by Seattle Human Services Department's Summer Food Service Program. In a bid to tackle food insecurity during the summer months, when school-provided meals cease, the city has organized a program celebration at Jefferson Park on July 12, according to the Human Services blog.

Exploring History: A Soviet Submarine’s Visit To Seattle
Looking back at when a Soviet submarine appeared in the "Emerald City" of Seattle, Washington. The "Cobra" or B-39 was a Soviet Diesel submarine that arrived in Seattle and stayed for several years.
