Michigan Central Station will be closed July 5-6 for the Fourth of July weekend. Regular public hours will resume after the holiday weekend on July 12.

Nearly 17,000 people have visited the station so far this summer, in addition to the 65,000 who toured the OPEN festivities earlier last month.

The Summer at the Station programming will resume after the holiday weekend on July 12. It runs Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 31.

The series features self-guided tours to visitors who want to walk through the station and food trucks and live entertainment outside the plaza.

No tickets are required for the summer series tours or events. Visitors can find more information and schedule updates at michigancentral.com.
