The New York Giants and Detroit Lions have gotten into several tiffs during their joint practices this offseason. Things turned ugly once again on Tuesday after rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers and third-year cornerback, Kerby Joseph, were seen throwing punches at one another.

Nabers ran a route but was defended well Lions cornerback, Terrion Arnold. After the play was over, the Giants rookie wide receiver was seen slapping Joseph in the face mask. Joseph immediately took offense and began throwing violent punches at Nabers, per Giants beat writer, Charlotte Carroll. The two threw many punches at one another before the dust settled.

It's unclear what prompted Nabers to initially slap Joseph in the face mask like that in the first place. However, the Giants and Lions have been at each others throats throughout the joint practice. It appears that Nabers was ready to take on the entire Lions defense though before others stepped in. Here's another angle of the brawl .

The Giants and Lions are set to play each other in a preseason game on August 8 at 7 P.M. Eastern. Typically, preseason games aren't hyped up but based on how these joint practices have been going it might be worthwhile to tune into that contest.

Fights initially began on Monday as Giants quarterback, Daniel Jones, got in the middle of it with the Lions defense. So far, there have been no reported punishments for anyone involved. Additionally, little scraps tend to happen during this time of the offseason.

Nabers was the Giants first selection of the 2024 NFL Draft. Coming out of LSU, Nabers is viewed as one of the most talented rookie receivers in this draft class. New York has been in need of talent in that position and the former LSU Tigers star looks the part.

So far, he's been dominant in these joint practices with the Lions. He's caught nearly every ball thrown his way, according to Connor Hughs of SNYtv. Detroit has seemingly had their hands full the last two days.

Nabers was a true star during his college days. He proved to be a reliable option for Jayden Daniels and put up monster numbers for the Tigers. Last season, Nabers finished with an impressive 89 receptions, 1,569 yards, and 14 touchdowns.

As for Joseph, the Lions cornerback is entering his third year in the NFL. He's been a starter for Detroit in his first two seasons and will maintain that role in 2024. Joseph has been rather reliable despite not being a star name. Last season, he recorded 82 total tackles and four interceptions.
