Security footage from a Moline Marshall’s shows a woman leaving the store on the Fourth of July. Moline police said she left without paying for merchandise worth about $356. Ladd Board Reverses July 9 Vote on Solar Farms
The Village of Ladd has changed course on the question of placement of two solar farms close to the north edge of town. At the July 9 village board meeting, members had voted unanimously to report back to the Zoning Board of Appeals that they had no objection to the applications for two commercial solar energy facilities that were to be sited on the west side of Route 89. According to a Moline TV report on the matter, since the July 9th positive vote, objectors had come forward, and some spoke out at Tuesday's meeting.
