First Fresh Cut Film Festival a success
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Springfield’s first film festival was a huge success, selling out the theater to show five short films by local filmmakers: “The Journey home” by Mark Stanley, “BIAVT Walk and Roll” by the late Chris Burge, “Dual” by the Flugge family of HotBrick Lighting and Grip, “The Sins of Salem” by Brad Courtmanche, and “This Crowded Room” by Rafael Burgos Nieves.

Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Honored as All-Academic Teams by USTFCCCA
NEW ORLEANS - The University of Vermont men's and women's track and field program has been honored as an All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Catamounts women's team posted a GPA of 3.629 while the men's team posted a GPA of 3.343 to earn the honors.

The FDA recently announced that Wiers Farm Inc. has expanded its voluntary recall of certain produce items sold at select stores in Ohio, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Cambridge Central School District will prohibit electronic devices from campus during regular school days starting the 2024-25 school year, according to their website. The district asks students to turn off or store out-of-sight personal electronic devices from their arrival at school until the end of a regular school day, while the district "is not responsible for stolen, lost, or damaged personal electronic devices," according to the website.
