Running never seemed to stimulate the interest of Douglas’ Dominic Rossi. However, having an older brother who was a sprinter and doing well, his mother thought it would be a good idea to push her younger son into doing the same. At the time, the younger Rossi was more focused on playing soccer and basketball and taking part in a running event wasn’t what he was looking for.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—The 2024 SK Modified® season at Stafford Speedway has seen Oxford, MA native Troy Talman enjoying the best season of his career to date. Talman ran one season in Stafford’s SK Light division and finished third in the points in 2013 before making the move into the SK Modified® division for the 2014 season. Talman is now in his 9th season of SK Modified® competition and he recorded his first SK Modified® victory in the season opening NAPA Spring Sizzler® feature event. Talman has since notched a second victory and nearly had a third win this season to help boost his #3 Casella Waste modified into 5th place in the standings. Talman’s performance might have come as a surprise to some, but thanks to a car change he and his crew made last season, they are not at all surprised with their success.

The players range from high school freshmen to 19-year-old rising college sophomores.
