Revolutionary War Re-enactment Returns to Old Sturbridge Village
STURBRIDGE, Mass. — Old Sturbridge Village is set to host "Redcoats and Rebels," one of New England's largest Revolutionary War re-enactments, on Saturday, Aug. 3, and Sunday, Aug. 4. The event promises a weekend of historical immersion, featuring nearly 600 costumed re-enactors from across the region portraying both soldiers and civilians from the Revolutionary War era.

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera said the city is hosting a community survey on the design of the new high school. Rivera said that students and their families can give their input on what “local figures and inspirational quotes” should be on the walls of the new building.

Four men were arrested for an Organized Retail Theft following an investigation by Hingham and Weymouth Police on Friday in a Hingham shopping center parking lot. According to Hingham Police, on July 19th, Hingham Detectives were contacted by Weymouth Police Detectives who had observed suspicious activity by the four men inside an SUV at a shopping center in Weymouth and followed the SUV into the Derby Street Shops in Hingham. Detectives continued to observe the suspicious activity of the men as they walked in and out of the Apple Store.

Box Seats announces closure following truck crash
Following an accident in which a truck crashed into the building, Box Seats Restaurant & Bar in North Attleborough has announced that it is closed until further notice. According to the announcement, which was posted to the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, the closure happened on July 24 due to a delivery truck damaging the exhaust system on the back side of the restaurant.

Taste of Rhode Island Hosts Summer Series Event
Taste of Rhode Island, a celebration of Rhode Island’s great food, local spirits and live entertainment, returned to the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick with its Summer Series on June 5. The event, produced by Pat Paolino Cruz, Pat Cruz Events, and Lupe Aguilar, Rhody Foody, showcased more than 50 of the state’s best restaurants, bakeries and caterers alongside local and regional wineries, distilleries and breweries. Guests were treated to live music, cooking demonstrations, a red carpet, and photo booth opportunities and a chance to vote for their favorite tastes along with celebrity guest judges. VIP ticket holders received early admission, swag bags with treats and access to a separate VIP lounge area. Taste of Rhode Island corporate sponsors included The Perry Group and Luke Renchan Entertainment. The event supports Rhode Island-based nonprofit MAE Organization for the Homeless.
