Lampin Corp. Appoints President and CEO John Biagioni to Board of Directors
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Uxbridge manufacturer Lampin Corp. says they have appointed President and CEO John Biagioni to the board of directors. Biagioni started with Lampin in 2022, coming over from Dynisco in Franklin. The Worcester Business Journal cites board members saying that adding Biagioni to the board helps bridge them with the day-to-day operations to make things more efficient. Lampin manufactures precision parts for aerospace, telecommunications, robotics, defense, medical devices and more.

Board approves addition at High Rocks
NORTH SMITHFIELD/BLACKSTONE, Mass. – The plan to construct more condo units adjacent to High Rocks Condominiums at 1 Tupperware Drive is moving forward. The North Smithfield Planning Board voted unanimously on July 11 to approve the master plan for an additional four three-bedroom units to be built just south of the Blackstone-North Smithfield line. The site is located at the end of Butler Street, southeast of the existing High Rocks condos and west of the Blackstone River.

53-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Machine Gun, Drugs
WORCESTER – A search warrant led to the arrest of a woman for a machine gun and drugs on Monday, July 22. Officers for the Worcester Police Department successfully requested a search warrant for a black BMW and an address on Florence Street. Officers located the subject of the warrant, Natasha Perry, 53, of Worcester, exit the residence and enter the vehicle.
Mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus detected in Worcester
The first detection of West Nile virus in Massachusetts was made earlier this month. West Nile virus has been detected in mosquitoes in Worcester, officials said Tuesday. The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project said mosquitoes carrying the virus were detected in the city’s Grove Street section on Tuesday. A pesticide will be sprayed by a mounted-truck in the area of Rural Cemetery after sunset on Thursday, the group said.
