The Leyton House CG901 F1 car is a testament to the innovative design principles of Adrian Newey. It represents the culmination of the March/Leyton House series of cars, showcasing Newey's unique approach to car design.

It is considered one of the most beautiful Grand Prix cars ever.

Leyton House raced the 901cg in 1990. The CG designation in the car name refers to and honors the contributions of Leyton House team manager Cesare Gariboldi, who was killed in a car accident the year before.

The Leyton House CG901 was designed by Adrian Newey to compete in the 1990 Formula One World Championship.

Leyton House built five chassis initially powered by Judd's EV 3.5 liter V8 engine.

The aerodynamic profile was an outstanding feature of the CG901 and the distinctive Leyton House livery.

The cockpit area was reputed to be very small and cramped; on the lower portion of the tub, two external blisters were visible to allow the driver's heels to fit into the narrow space. The detachable nose section incorporates the front wing, bolted from the underside and proud of the nose.

Driven by the talented Mauricio Gugelmin, a Brazilian driver known for his smooth driving style, and Ivan Capelli, an Italian driver with a reputation for his technical understanding of the car.

The Leyton House CG901 made a memorable debut at the San Marino Grand Prix. Chassis 02, the sister car to 01, led the race and finished second at the French Grand Prix in 1990, a nod to the drivers' and the car's skill and competitiveness.
