Excessive Heat Ahead for Albany, NY: Highs in the 90s Expected
Albany, NY – Residents of Albany are preparing for a severe heatwave as the Climate Prediction Center forecasts a significant rise in temperatures. A 70 to 80 percent chance of above-normal temperatures has been predicted, with a 40 to 60 percent likelihood of excessive heat for the first week of August. Valley locations may experience temperatures reaching into the 90s by the end of next week.

As the National Weather Service continues to tally up the record number of tornadoes that struck the week of July 15, more storms are dropping even more twisters in parts of the state.
