Dell McGee was on Willie Fritz's staff at Southern in 2014 and 2015, and his time as the interim coach for their victory in the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl - after Fritz departed for Tulane - earned him a worthwhile look at the full-time gig in many fans' eyes.
