Durant car show returns July 21 expects more than 100 vehicles
Durant resident Miles Budelier may be a car show enthusiast, but he doesn’t attend more than one car show annually. That’s the Durant Car Show he’s put together since 2017, where he gets to show off his classic 1969 Dodge Charger, a vehicle he’s had since high school, on Sunday, July 21 at the Durant High School parking lot at 406 7th St.
State of Iowa settles UI Cambus accident suit
The State of Iowa and a woman injured when a University of Iowa Cambus slid on an icy road and hit her vehicle in 2018 have agreed to settle a suit ahead of trial. The Gazette reports that 48-year-old Yoland Parker sued for a million dollars for injuries to her knee, neck and back, and to recover damages for past and future medical costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering. She originally sued the driver as well as the state, but dropped the driver from the suit later.
