DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Davenport man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on drug and firearm charges. Trevon Demon Horne, 23, was sentenced to 126 months in prison on June 26 for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in furtherance to a drug trafficking crime.
Davenport fire suspect spat on firefighter, officials say
An 18-year-old Davenport man was in custody Tuesday after police say he is a suspect in an arson, according to a news release. Shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Davenport Fire Department responded to the 1000 block of Grand Court for a structure fire. Crews responded with three engines, two ladder trucks, and a district chief, for an initial response of 16 personnel.
Rock Island man faces charges after he struck conservation officer: Court records
A 61-year-old Rock Island man was in custody Wednesday after officials allege he struck a conservation officer, according to court records. Tommy Smith, who was in custody Wednesday in Rock Island County Jail, faces a Class 1 felony charge of aggravated battery, a Class 2 felony charge of aggravated battery, a Class 2 felony charge of attempting to disarm a police officer, and a Class A misdemeanor of sexual offender at a public park, court records show.

QUAD CITIES, Ill./Iowa (KWQC) - Police said the Moline postmaster stole mail he believed were greeting cards that contained cash or gift cards. Justin Brown was arrested June 28 after Davenport Police searched his home and found 487 cards greetings cards for weddings, birthdays, graduations and Father’s Day, according to arrest affidavits.
