Armed Robbery Sunday Night at NE Lincoln Auto Parts Store
LINCOLN–(KFOR July 15)–A couple of people held up the O’Reilly Auto Parts store off of 84th and Adams, around closing time, which was 9pm Sunday. Lincoln Police Captain Todd Kocian says both suspects showed up, one of them pointing a shotgun at the employees, told them to cooperate. They went to an office area, where the safe was opened and an undisclosed amount of money was taken. One suspect was a white male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and the other a black male wearing a white shirt.
ESPN Top 300 recruit Bryson Webber commits to Nebraska
The Nebraska Cornhuskers landed their third 2025 ESPN 300 recruit on Sunday. Cornerback Bryson Webber announced his commitment to the Huskers on social media. Webber enters his senior year at Ridge Point High School but only his second year as a cornerback for the Panthers. Webber played wide receiver in his freshman and sophomore years before switching to cornerback. In Webber’s first season on defense, he recorded 22 tackles, two interceptions, and three pass breakups. In the offseason, he earned an offer from Nebraska, along with numerous Power Four schools. Saturday Afternoon Stabbing in Central Lincoln Being Investigated
LINCOLN–(KFOR July 15)–A 33-year-old man was apparently stabbed by a 32-year-old man he knew, after a dispute over a mutual relationship. This happened early Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of the U-Stop off of 27th and “E” Street. Lincoln Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect left the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

11 NE lawmakers to host Lincoln, Omaha listening sessions on property taxes
LINCOLN — Eleven lawmakers will host two listening sessions on property taxes in the state’s two most populous cities after Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen opted out of doing so. Pillen, in his quest to reform property taxes, crisscrossed the state, visiting 26 cities in May and June for town halls to pitch his evolving reform plans. He asked Nebraskans to offer feedback and to pressure state senators to support his ideas, although senators later said they received little feedback.
Spotty, strong storms possible in eastern Nebraska Tuesday evening
We say goodbye to the high heat Tuesday, but not storm chances in eastern Nebraska. There is a chance for a few spotty strong-to-severe storms during the evening. While there is a chance for a few spotty showers in the later morning and early afternoon, the chance for any strong to severe storms goes up mainly after 5 p.m. The Storm Prediction Center has most of central and eastern Nebraska in a "slight" risk area for severe storms. Though part of the Omaha metro is in this area, the better support for stronger storms will be west of Omaha, out toward Norfolk, Columbus and York.
