The Lewes Major League All-Stars began their journey for a state title with a 10-0 mercy-rule victory over Naamans in four innings July 24 in Middletown. Dodging rain drops, the Lewes bats were hot and pitcher Finn Gannon had ice in his veins. Gannon had the Naamans team off balance all game, scattering just three hits while striking out two. He also helped himself at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
