The LaSalle County coroner has identified the man killed early Friday morning after a fireworks accident north of Ottawa and LaSalle. Chance W. Ruger, 25, died at OSF HealthCare St. Elizabeth Medical Center after he sustained injuries from fireworks at a home at 3073 East 12th Street in rural Wallace Township. A local congregation worshiped Sunday almost as their first members did in 1849. About 130 people gathered on a farm west of Ottawa celebrating the 175th birthday of the Waltham Presbyterian Church.
