Columbia County man accused of choking person
Police have arrested a Columbia County man for allegedly choking a person during a domestic incident. Deputies responded to a residence in the town of Copake on Monday for a report of a physical assault. When they attempted to separate the parties, David A. Grant Jr. 38, of Craryville, ran into the woods near the residence, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said.

A man and his roommate were arrested in what officials call the largest seizure of drugs in Rensselaer County this year. On August 21st, Tramel Wiliams, and his roommate Edgar Bonilla, were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance in the first degree. Troy Police & members of the Rensselaer County Probation Department were conducting a detail under the GIVE initiative. A Rensselaer County man is accused of threatening a person with a knife and choking them. State Police responded to a home on Sunday, Aug. 25 for a report of an argument that turned physical. Joshua M. Lee, 32, of Johnsonville, allegedly displayed a knife, blocked the person’s breathing and restrained the victim.
