REVIEW: Barrington Stage's 'Boeing Boeing' offers a flight you won't want to miss
Croissants, crepes, wine and a good farce have carried the French in good stead over the centuries. Even a mediocre French farce, when well directed and superbly acted will make up for a myriad of flaws in the script. Such is the case with Barrington Stage's production of “Boeing Boeing.” Written by playwright Marc Camoletti in 1960 and translated into English in 1962 by Beverly Cross is a funny, dated show about a rogue, Bernard, living in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower who is engaged to three women. He juggles his menagerie of ladies who all happen to be airline stewardesses all with different airlines based upon their flight schedules in and out of Paris. All is fine until it isn't and hilarity ensues.

REVIEW: “The Comedy of Errors” at Shakespeare & Company
Ah, me, Shakespeare. Hearing the name of The Bard, can evoke one of many reactions among folks; “THAT guy?”, “I don’t understand Shakespeare”, “I know Romeo and Juliet”, “They made me read Hamlet in High School” and many others that could be laced with various colorful language fit for one of his more bawdy comedies. I’ve run the gamut myself on my feelings, especially having to recite more than my fair share of his monologues during my own conservatory days. Whatever your feelings for the writer of the Shakespearean catalog, the troupe performing “The Comedy of Errors” at the Waldstein Amphitheater at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA this summer will leave you full of joy and wishing you were still young enough to do a backflip at a moments notice.
