Beloved Mascot Hall of Fame to close in Whiting
The Mascot Hall of Fame in Whiting, Indiana will be closing on September 14th, according to a post on their Facebook page. The beloved spot was opened in 2018 and has been a popular destination for field trips, community events, and mascot inductions. The Hall will continue online until a new location is secured.
City of Hammond to host free job fair
The Hammond mayor’s economic development office is inviting community members to attend its annual job fair on Sept. 19. The city hosts the event to address the employment needs of the residents of the city of Hammond and the Region. The job fair also helps assist local companies in their recruitment process. This year marks the city’s 20th annual job fair.
