Coffeeville coach speaks after basketball player killed in Pennsylvania
Www.youtube.com – WTVA 9 News – 2024-07-17 23:05:26. SUMMARY: Quinton Smith, a 17-year-old Coffeeville High School basketball player, tragically died after being struck by a car in Pennsylvania. Coach Dearius Bush described Smith as more than just a player, calling him like a son and highlighting his significant presence on and off the court. Smith was attending an AAU basketball tournament in York, Pennsylvania, when the incident occurred. Initially, Coach Bush hoped Smith had only minor injuries, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Pennsylvania police report that the driver, who stayed at the scene, is awaiting a blood alcohol content test. The local community is rallying to support Smith's family.
