Late Night Shooting on Monroe Avenue Leaves Man Hospitalized
(WNY News Now) – ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot on Monroe Avenue early Thursday morning. In the early hours of Thursday, Rochester police responded to a shooting in front of a business in the 600 block of Monroe Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in his 30s who had been shot at least once in the lower body.
Man killed in hit-and-run on Route 390 in Gates identified
Monroe County sheriff's deputies have identified the man killed late Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash on Route 390 in Gates. Daniel Burke, 63, of Rochester was pronounced dead at the scene, on the northbound lanes of Route 390, just north of Exit 21 at Lyell Avenue, said sheriff's spokeswoman Amy Young. The crash occurred just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Webster Man Sentenced for Fatal Klem Road Hit-and-Run
(WNY News Now) – In a conclusion to last summer’s fatal hit-and-run on Klem Road, a Webster man has been sentenced for the death of a local bicyclist. Ryan Laduca, a 36-year-old Webster resident, was sentenced to 1.5 to 4 years in prison for his involvement in a hit-and-run crash that resulted in the death of 57-year-old Pamela Rubenstein. The incident occurred on August 23 when Rubenstein was struck by a car while riding her bike down Klem Road.
