    North Lamar Band Hosts 2024 Preview Show ‘El Toreador’

    The North Lamar High School Band, under the direction of Austin Snow, Assistant Directors Elisha Tollefson, and Ryan Sheffield, thrilled the community with an exclusive sneak peek of their 2024 show, “El Toreador.” The event, held on Friday, August 23, 2024, brought together band supporters, community members, and families for an evening of music, food, and fun.

    Credit Union of Texas generously provided free burgers and hot dogs, ensuring everyone was well-fed while enjoying the festivities. Frozin Spoon was also on-site, offering refreshing sno cones to beat the summer heat.

    The event began with the band showcasing their pre-performance routines, including stretches and warm-ups. Attendees were then treated to performances of two captivating songs from the upcoming show, giving them a taste of what’s to come this marching season.

    After the performance, each band member invited a volunteer onto the field to learn some marching band basics. This interactive experience allowed family members and friends to step into the shoes of the students and gain a deeper appreciation for the dedication and effort required to perform at a high level.
