Search for Wisconsin Father Continues After Children Found Deceased in Lake Michigan Sailboat Tragedy
In a somber update from Lake Michigan, officials have confirmed the recovery of two children after a sailboat capsized near Chambers Island in Wisconsin. The bodies of a 5-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son were located on Monday, as reported by People. Named Charlotte and Josh, the children were sailing with their father, 32-year-old Bill Salnick of Little Suamico, Wis., when they went missing. The sailboat, an 18-foot Gulf Coast named My Lady Blue, was found capsized early Monday morning.
Meeting held to discuss safer routes for cyclists and pedestrians between Schofield and Wausau
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - A meeting took place Thursday to discuss making travel between Schofield and Wausau safer for bicyclists and pedestrians. Currently, the quickest route through the city for cyclists is along Grand Avenue and Business 51. While this path is fast, it is not always safe due to heavy traffic. The streets and sidewalks along Grand Avenue are not ideal for cyclists.

Humane Society of Marathon County hosts free pet food pop-up
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - The Humane Society of Marathon County held a free pet food pop-up Thursday at Wild Roots Apothecary in Schofield. Pet owners were able to pick up cat and dog food for free that would otherwise expire at the humane society. The goal of the event was to lift any financial burdens people have with feeding their pets and to keep the animals and their owners together.
