A district court judge now says the law will go into effect Monday at 8 a.m. The law bans an abortion once fetal cardiac activity is detected, which is typically around six weeks into a pregnancy. City Of Audubon Changing Firework Ordinance Due To High Number Of Complaints
The Audubon City Council has amended the town’s fireworks ordinance due to the high number of complaints received over the Fourth of July holiday. The new ordinance states that an individual must be a minimum of 100 feet away from a neighboring property before discharging a firework unless consent has been given by other community members living in the area. The council has also approved changing the dates and times of the year acceptable for fireworks use. July 3 and 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. are the only times for fireworks to be shot off within city limits, meaning New Year’s Eve is no longer an approved date. By implementing the new ordinance, the city council hopes to reduce the number of complaints received during the holidays and ensure everyone is having fun while remaining respectful to neighbors throughout the community.
