‘I just wasn’t having any of it’: Paul Menard on the move that cost him a Road America victory
ELKHART LAKE – Paul Menard’s championship battle with Chris Dyson has gotten more heated, even as his lead in the Trans Am points continues to grow. The 43-year-old former NASCAR driver from Eau Claire crossed the finish line first Sunday at Road America but several hours later lost the victory when the series issued a time penalty for contact with Dyson early in the race.
74-Year-Old Suffers Serious Injuries in Monday Crash Near Plymouth
A helicopter ambulance had to be called for transport after a man was struck while attempting a J-turn on Highway 23. The Sheboygan County Sheriff reports that the 74-year-old Waldo man was driving on 23 at around 4 p.m. Monday when he attempted the turn at the intersection with Pleasant View Road at Plymouth, but pulled out into traffic. The man’s vehicle was struck on the passenger side by another vehicle driven by a woman who was taken to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The Man was airlifted to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah. There’s no word on the conditions of either driver this morning.

No Contest Plea Entered in 2023 Death of 4-Year-Old Cordelia Kuether
The man charged in the April, 2023 death of a 4-year-old child in Sheboygan has plead no contest in the case against him. Cordelia Kuether died when she was struck while on a walk with her mother and two other children near 21st and Saemann Avenue. Police reports say they’d stopped to pet a dog when a truck driven by then 23-year-old Nathan Heitzmann blew the stop sign on North 21st Street, colliding with a second vehicle and sending that into the people nearby. Kuether died of her injuries while two others sustained abrasions and cuts.
